Multimedia Designer

Jayden Simelda-Longe is a multimedia designer at the Poynter Institute.

Jayden is a designer from Boulder, Colorado where she first came into journalism as a writer for the Boulder High School newspaper. Soon after, she moved to St. Petersburg, Florida to attend Eckerd College to study Communication and Visual Art.

There, she managed public relations and contributed to designs for the Eckerd College newspaper, The Current. Her professional work in St. Petersburg includes projects for advertising agencies and the non-profit artist community. She is a formally trained artist and completed her first solo-gallery show in March of 2021. Jayden also aims to make art and good design more accessible in everyday aspects by selling smaller artworks at local art markets around Tampa Bay.

In her free time, you can find her listening to music and podcasts or working on her growing (200+) collection of Spotify playlists.
