Joanie Vasiliadis

Joanie Vasiliadis, vice president of content at TEGNA, supports 49 local newsrooms across the country as they transform their content to keep up with changing platforms and audiences. She also co-leads TEGNA’s Inclusive Journalism efforts. She joined TEGNA as a digital producer at WUSA9, TEGNA’s CBS- affiliate in D.C. She went from being a digital producer to leading the station’s digital team in just a few years. Since joining the corporate team, Vasiliadis has built a national digital desk, launched good-news brand HeartThreads, led the debut of fact-checking brand VERIFY on Snapchat, and guided various product rollouts including a new CMS, mobile apps and OTT apps. She was recently named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 in Media 2021 list.
