Karishma Shah FRSA

Karishma Shah FRSA is a Program Manager for News Integrity Partnerships at Meta, where she co-manages the WhatsApp Fact-Checking Program and supports Meta’s fact-checking partnerships across Facebook and Instagram. She has experience combatting online harms, whether developing products to monitor and analyze mis- and disinformation or partnering with stakeholders across various governments, big tech, and academia to counter radicalization and financial fraud. She is also a Fellow at the Royal Society for the Encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce. She received her Master’s (MPhil) in International Relations from
the University of Oxford and B.A. in Government and Religion from Harvard University. When she is not working, she is either traveling the world, learning about different cultures, cuisines, and dances, or planning her next adventure.
