Marketing Communications Writer
Mel Grau is the marketing communications writer at The Poynter Institute where she writes about the people and programs that make Poynter a global leader in journalism. She also edits The Cohort, Poynter’s biweekly newsletter for women kicking ass in digital media, and teaches at Poynter’s Leadership Academy for Women in Media. A graduate of the School of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Grau spent five years in marketing, writing and product development before coming to Poynter. She loves to hike, practice handstands in yoga and teach her nieces and nephews about feminism.
