Ramón Escobar

Ramon Escobar is responsible for recruitment of all on and off-air talent for CNN U.S., CNN International, and CNN en Espanol. He joined CNN after several years at Telemundo where he was executive vice president of network news, overseeing the entire news division including all internal international news bureaus and the development of on-air talent. Previously, Escobar was vice president at MSNBC and vice president and news director at WTVJ-TV in Miami. He got his start in television as a producer at Univision’s WXTV in New York. Escobar earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri School of Journalism and is a graduate of the Institute of Political Journalism at Georgetown University.
