Samantha Latson — Indiana University

Samantha Latson is obtaining her masters in journalism at Indiana University, where she is an associate instructor. She is a reporter for the Arnolt Center of Investigative Journalism and a freelance writer. Her work has been published in the Chicago Sun-Times and the Chicago Crusader. She was also a reporter-writer for the Unforgotten 51 project that examined the mostly unsolved cases of 51 mostly African American women murdered in Chicago since 2001, believed to be the work of a serial killer. With her work accuracy is vital, which is why she is excited to teach students about media literacy.
