Senior Director of Experience and Events
Tina serves as executive producer for Poynter’s signature and public events while leading the Institute’s customer experience and events division.
Tina is spearheading a new events line of business at Poynter to connect people with journalists, thought leaders and newsroom executives and stoke a deeper understanding of journalism. This effort will advance Poynter’s work bolstering healthy democracy through access to credible information.
In addition to building the Institute’s new events franchise, the team is dedicated to the participant experience in Poynter teaching programs — which is often referred to as the Poynter Magic. Our work includes shaping an engaging journey that transcends the individual program and connects participants through like-minded communities, valuable professional networks and progressive learning pathways.
Prior to this role, Tina was marketing director at Poynter for eight years following holding senior leadership roles in sales, marketing and recruitment communications for the Tampa Bay Times, VISIT FLORIDA and Bernard Hodes Group.
