During Sunday night’s Golden Globe awards, journalists Mark Halperin and John Heilemann received thanks from Jay Roach, whose HBO adaptation of their book “Game Change” won best miniseries/TV movie. Halperin and Heilemann are working on a sequel about the 2012 election, tentatively titled “Double Down,” which HBO hopes will become another award-winning movie.

Best actress winner Julianne Moore, who played Sarah Palin in the movie about the 2008 election, also credited the media. Moore, writes Alessandra Stanley, “made a point of saluting two women who had nothing to do with the film but everything [to do] with exposing Ms. Palin’s weaknesses: Ms. Fey, who impersonated Ms. Palin on ‘Saturday Night Live,’ and Katie Couric, whose interviews with Ms. Palin during the 2008 election campaign provided Ms. Fey with raw material for her parody.”
