AP baseball writers to start submitting 'hometown leads'

After filing their traditional story on the national wire, AP reporters will also file “hometown leads” for the local paper that can’t staff an away game, reports Andrew Phelps. AP sports editor Terry Taylorsays editors have been asking for this for at least 15 years.
