Bay Guardian still trying to collect $21M from SF Weekly parent

It's been nearly two years since a jury found that Village Voice Media's SF Weekly engaged in illegal price-cutting for advertisements to try to ruin the Bay Guardian and the case is still being fought in court. The Bay Guardian on Monday asked for a stake in all property belonging to Village Voice Media so that it can collect its $21 million award.

    From 1999 to 2011, Jim Romenesko maintained the Romenesko page for the Poynter Institute, a Florida-based non-profit school for journalists. Poynter hired him in August of 1999, after seeing his MediaGossip.com, a hobby site he started in May of 1999.
