Editors divided on whether technology has improved day-to-day news coverage in their markets

About 53 percent responding to ASNE's survey said the focus on digital delivery and technology has improved coverage, while 33 percent said technology-related issues actually had hurt news coverage because they take time and effort away from core newsroom functions. The remainder say coverage has stayed about the same, reports Commercial Appeal editor Chris Peck, who chairs ASNE's technology committee. || Read the survey results.
