EW Scripps CEO: "Newspaper advertising declines are moderating"

Year-over-year revenue from Scripps newspapers fell 15% in the 2009 fourth quarter to $117 million, says the press release. Ad revenue was down 20% to $83.4 million, an improvement in the rate of decline from the third quarter of 2009, when year-over-year ad revenue declined 27%.
