The queen of soul reigned over front pages around the world on Friday, one day after her death. Her obituary in the Detroit Free Press reports that Aretha Franklin had pancreatic cancer.
Other tributes to Franklin include statements from musicians and politicians, a New Yorker cover, editorial cartoons and moments of remembrance during live performances.
