Hastings' dad: 'Mike shoots straight, so I am sure it is an honest article'

Dr. Brent Hastings says son Michael (left) "knew when he was in grade school he would be a writer" and that "when Gulf War 1 was going on, he became interested in that type of journalism. Back then, he used to write for little newspapers and school papers." He adds "I am sure Mike, who I think liked Stanley McChrystal, would not want any harm to come to his career. But obviously he is in hot water because of this."
