Help Poynter pick the best political journalism of 2016

On Tuesday, Americans will elect a new president, capping a campaign that has changed political journalism and inspired some amazing (and not-so-amazing) coverage.

Along the way, the press has been threatened with lawsuits and harassed while trust has dipped to an all-time low.

But there's also been a lot of bright spots: Scoops from the press that redefined the campaign, steely on-air fact-checking, breathtaking feature stories, informative explainers and in-depth data visualizations.

We want to end the campaign by celebrating some of the best political journalism published during this election cycle, and we need your help. Please vote in the categories below, and feel free to write in excellent work or journalists we might have forgotten.

We'll publish the results on Monday morning, along with a write-up of the winners.
