How is Seattle P-I Web site doing, one year later?

Hearst Seattle Media general manager Pat Balles says averages around 4 million unique visitors per month, with 40 million pageviews. That's comparable to when the Post-Intelligencer published in print and online. The site isn't profitable yet, though.

    From 1999 to 2011, Jim Romenesko maintained the Romenesko page for the Poynter Institute, a Florida-based non-profit school for journalists. Poynter hired him in August of 1999, after seeing his, a hobby site he started in May of 1999.
