Newseum

The results of Tuesday’s World Cup semifinal match between Brazil and Germany made the fronts of many newspapers around the world on Wednesday. They show weeping, outrage, anger, and a few show the German winners.

Here’s a collection from Newseum.

La Nacion, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, shows an image that was quite popular:

Here’s my personal favorite, from Metro Belo Horizonte, in Belo Horizonte, Brazil:

Some of these just don’t need Google translate at all. Here’s one from Folha de Londrina, in Londrina, Brazil:

Jornal de Santa Catarina, in Blumenau, Brazil, with a pretty clever photo illustration:

And another, from O Popular, in Goiânia, Brazil:

A sad, still moment from O Povo, in Fortaleza, Brazil:

Someone’s hangry on the front of Metro Toronto, in Toronto, Canada:

Of course, there was a winner. Jamaica Observer, in Kingston, Jamaica, went with Germany:

And the German team led most of the fronts in Germany. Here’s BILD, in Berlin, Germany:

ARA, in Barcelona, Spain, had the winners and the losers:

And the United Evening News, in Taipei, Taiwan, had it all:
