iPhone owners twice as likely to pay for newspaper subscriptions on e-reader

Wall Street Journal Digits
A new report by comScore indicates 15 percent of those surveyed are "seriously considering" purchasing an iPad in the next three months, slightly higher than those planning to purchase Amazon's Kindle e-reader. The Wall Street Journal reports survey respondents are "likely to use the iPad to browse the Internet, send e-mail, watch video and movies, listen to music and read books." That is good news for publishers, as comScore also found that consumers who already own an iPhone or iPod Touch are "more than twice as willing to pay for newspaper and magazine subscriptions formatted for e-readers" than those who do not own those devices.
