Guardian Editor-in-Chief Alan Rusbridger announced a slew of editor changes on Twitter Thursday.

 

 

 

 

Gibson, who edited the series of stories on Edward Snowden’s national security documents, tweeted out this:

The New York Times reported Gibson, who had been based in the U.S., will relocate to London to become editor-in-chief of theguardian.com. Her role will be to accelerate “the next stage of the Guardian’s digital transformation,” according to a Guardian statement.
