Journalism enrollments up at many schools this fall

Columbia j-school academic affairs dean Bill Grueskin says many students aren't discouraged by the news industry turmoil. "Ambitious and creative young people see this as an opportunity to be part of the effort to recast and remake journalism." Applications to Columbia's master-of-science program in journalism rose 44% for the class entering this fall.
