Lindgren describes plans for New York Times Magazine

"There's going to be new features, there's going to be a new back of the book," says Hugo Lindgren, who was named New York Times Magazine editor in September. "There's a couple of things we're going to do that the magazine hasn't done before. ... We're going to be doing some significant redesign work, and have a newish magazine by the end of January."

    From 1999 to 2011, Jim Romenesko maintained the Romenesko page for the Poynter Institute, a Florida-based non-profit school for journalists. Poynter hired him in August of 1999, after seeing his MediaGossip.com, a hobby site he started in May of 1999.
