New data from Skyhook reports that there are now more than 7,000 location-aware mobile applications available for the iPhone, Android and Blackberry devices combined. Mobile and location-aware services are primed to become the next revenue battlefield as everyone from local newspapers to tech giants such as Google and Apple move into the market.
