Robert Andrews reports that subscribers to the Time of London’s iPad edition will receive a third month for free as the paper works to add promised features to the app:

“An email to users reads: ‘As a thank you, and as we’re aware that some of the editorial features you’ve been waiting for haven’t yet been included, we’d like to offer you a free 30-day subscription, which will begin when your current subscription ends.’ “

The first free month came in June to encourage users of the $16.99 app to download a new version with a recurring monthly subscription option. (That’s the U.S. price; for iPad owners in the UK, the price works out to about $15.54.) In July, subscriptions were extended another month to make up for bugs experienced by some users.
