The Associated Press made a splash on Friday with its announcement of a new business division and a forthcoming subscription app for Apple’s iPad. The new AP Gateway division, led by Jeff Litvack and Nick Ascheim, will be responsible for creating new content and apps for the next generation of mobile devices, including tablets.
