New York Times Magazine to cut its page size by 9%

The smaller version of the Times Magazine debuts June 14. "It is a shave, not a hatchet," says editor Gerald Marzorati. "It is something I regret and would rather not have seen, [but] the company has to figure out lots of ways to save money."

    From 1999 to 2011, Jim Romenesko maintained the Romenesko page for the Poynter Institute, a Florida-based non-profit school for journalists. Poynter hired him in August of 1999, after seeing his MediaGossip.com, a hobby site he started in May of 1999.
