New York Times website redesign coming Jan. 8
Starting today, the Times said in a press release, some readers will see a portion of the new site, which includes responsive design and a less cluttered overall look.
In October, Times employees received access to a preview, shown below:
Leslie Kaufman of the Times notes the redesign will enable the company to publish native advertising. Publisher Arthur Sulzberger Jr. said in a December letter to the newsroom that the news organization's foray into controversial native ads would be “fully consistent with the values of The Times and the expectations of our readers."
