News director apologizes for airing footage of woman who just learned of husband's arrest

New Haven Register
A crew from CBS Atlanta informed Lan Ma that her husband had been arrested for the murder of a Yale doctor. "While we were in the home talking with her and shooting video, [the woman] fell to the floor hysterically crying," writes news director Steve Schwaid. "If you saw our newscast last night or our website earlier today, you saw this horrible video. There was no reason for us to air or put that video on the Web."
