Newspaper industry wages dropped an average of 1.42% in 2010

Publishers' base pay declined 2.1 percent from 2009 to 2010. Editors' salary declined 4.6 percent, while entry-level and experienced reporters saw a decline in the 1 to 2 percent range. || 2003 survey: Reporter salaries up 7.1 percent.
