The Pilot newsroom lip-dubs 'Call Me Maybe'

Media, Disrupted

Staff at The Pilot of Southern Pines, N.C., and related businesses took part in a straight-up adorable lip dub of Carly Rae Jepsen's "Call Me Maybe."

In an email, publisher David Woronoff says staffers from the newspaper (whose advertising department really goes to town on this assignment), The Country Bookshop and O.Henry Magazine are among the folks dancing and miming through the video. That's Woronoff at the 50-second mark, John L. Robinson writes. Editor John Nagy told Robinson the idea was to "practice one of our core corporate values: have fun. It was a great way to break up the long summer and show everyone we don’t take ourselves too seriously.”
