Roanoke Times carrier saves woman from fire

Matthew DeSimone was delivering papers in Roanoke, Va., when he smelled what he thought was a wood fire at one of the houses on his route, Bryce Williams reports. He woke the owner just in time.

The homeowner, whom Williams said "is glad she gets the newspaper delivered to her home," told the station she'd be "a bit toasty" had DeSimone not happened by.

DeSimone was delivering The Roanoke Times, that paper's Keith Liles confirms in a phone call.
