Solomon resigns as Washington Times executive editor

A Washington Times publicist has distributed a one-line e-mail to the media saying that John Solomon resigned, effective Nov. 6. || TPM LiveWire: Top staffers weren't even aware of the resignation. || Also: Rev. Moon talked in September about "important decisions" made about Times.

    From 1999 to 2011, Jim Romenesko maintained the Romenesko page for the Poynter Institute, a Florida-based non-profit school for journalists. Poynter hired him in August of 1999, after seeing his MediaGossip.com, a hobby site he started in May of 1999.
