Star Tribune doesn't bother turning on comments for eight kinds of stories

Strib digital AME Terry Sauer says "it continues to be virtually impossible to have a civil discourse" for these kinds of stories, so comments aren't allowed: crime; Muslims; fatalities/suicides; gays; distressed local companies; racially sensitive stories; local homes stories; and local gossip columnist CJ.
