Tennessean's Silverman wins Benjamin C. Bradlee Editor of the Year Award

The National Press Foundation says Mark Silverman wins for his paper’s “outstanding coverage of unexpected floods in 2010 and its innovative use of social media platforms to extend that coverage and bind its community together."

    From 1999 to 2011, Jim Romenesko maintained the Romenesko page for the Poynter Institute, a Florida-based non-profit school for journalists. Poynter hired him in August of 1999, after seeing his MediaGossip.com, a hobby site he started in May of 1999.
