Two bidders to participate in Thursday's Philly auction

Christopher Hepp reports two bids have been received for the Philadelphia Inquirer and Daily News: one from the senior lenders of the papers' parent company, Philadelphia Newspapers L.L.C., and another from Philadelphia businessman and philanthropist Raymond Perelman and the Carpenters Union's pension fund. || Rick Edmonds' auction preview.

    From 1999 to 2011, Jim Romenesko maintained the Romenesko page for the Poynter Institute, a Florida-based non-profit school for journalists. Poynter hired him in August of 1999, after seeing his MediaGossip.com, a hobby site he started in May of 1999.
