University of Kentucky attorney calls Sun-Times recruiting story 'beyond irresponsible'

"Taking the story down doesn't cure all the problems," says the school's lawyer. The Sun-Times on Friday repeated the payment allegation and said "sources from three separate universities told the Sun-Times that [the father of a highly recruited basketball player] asked for money in return for his son's commitment, with the amounts ranging from $125,000 to $150,000."
