Washington Post chooses new HQ

The Washington Post

The Washington Post "has chosen developer Hines’ One Franklin Square at 1301 K Street NW for its new headquarters," a Post release says. The company plans to move in by 2016. The new digs are about three blocks from the news organization's current location, Jonathan O’Connell reports.

As previously reported on this blog, the building has a Dan Brown connection.

Capital reporter Jeremy Barr says the building comes with one big amenity:

  • Andrew Beaujon

Andrew Beaujon reported on the media for Poynter from 2012 to 2015. He was previously arts editor at TBD.com and managing editor of Washington City Paper. He's the author of the 2006 book "Body Piercing Saved My Life," about Christian rock and evangelical Christian culture.
