Emily Feinstein, J.D., is the director of health law and policy at the National Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse. Feinstein leads the development and implementation of new tools, products and initiatives aimed at increasing public awareness about addiction and substance abuse. This includes translating knowledge about these health concerns into public policy and health care practice.

Prior to joining the center, Feinstein practiced health care law at a leading global law firm. She has also worked as a research/policy analyst for institutions such as President Clinton’s National Bioethics Advisory Commission, the University of Pennsylvania Center for Bioethics and The Hastings Center. She received her J.D. from New York University School of Law and her B.A. in bioethics from Brown University.
