Essential Skills for New Managers (Illinois). This October 2017 workshop, funded by the Robert R. McCormick Foundation, was for new and emerging leaders in Illinois newsrooms. Poynter hosts this workshop each year at least once in St. Petersburg for journalists from newsrooms across the country.
Covering the Issues Ahead in Trump’s Second Year. We gathered experts in five key topics — health care, cyber security, climate change, hate speech and trade — at Vanderbilt University for this October 2017 workshop, a Specialized Reporting Institute funded by the McCormick Foundation.
