PORTSMOUTH (NH)
Portsmouth Herald

We are again calling for the resignation of Cardinal Bernard Law and New Hampshire Bishop John McCormack. In light of all the information released about Law and his former Boston Archdiocese personnel director in dealing with sexual abuse by priests, we feel both men are no longer worthy of the priesthood.

Tuesday’s decision by the New Hampshire Diocese to settle with the attorney general rather than be charged under the state’s child-endangerment statute is an indication of the preponderance of evidence against the Roman Catholic Church in this state as regards sexual misconduct.

Also, the decision by the Boston Archdiocese to pursue bankruptcy rather than defend itself against claims of millions of dollars in civil lawsuits is yet another indication of the guilt of both Law and McCormack.
