David Stone, producer of “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee,” didn’t want Sun-Times theater critic Hedy Weiss (left) at Monday’s event announcing a Chicago production of the Broadway hit. During a critics’ “spelling bee,” Stone called out Weiss’ name, and then said something like, “‘She can’t be here because she’s in detention.” In May, Weiss gave a mixed review to Stone’s ”Wicked.”
