The News-Press in Fort Myers, Fla., quoted Poynter’s Rick Edmonds in a story about whether the iPad will transform publishing:

“Industry analysts questioned if the iPad, which allows users to read e-newspapers and e-magazines, would transform publishing.”

” ‘I think it’s a promising, exciting development, but to say this will revolutionize the business … well, a lot of things have to fall into place for that to happen,’ said Rick Edmonds, a media analyst at [the] Poynter Institute in St. Petersburg.’ “
