Ezra Klein’s new publication will be named Vox, he announced Sunday night. A video explains the philosophy of the publication formerly known as Project X: Explanatory journalism that endures, and eschews an “eat-your-vegetables” approach.
“Digital articles at least in principle last forever as Web archives. That’s something some people are taking advantage of today, but we don’t think that people are really writing articles with that in mind,” Executive Editor Matt Yglesias says.
“We want to create the single greatest resource available for people to understand the issues that are in the news,” Yglesias says. “There’s no such thing here as the vegetables of journalism,” Klein says.
