Now in its fourth year, the Leadership Academy for Women in Digital Media is returning to Poynter’s campus in St. Petersburg, Florida, the week of March 18-23, 2018. Applications for next year's program will open in the fall.
This transformative program focuses on the skills and knowledge needed to rise to the highest levels of digital media leadership. Sessions will cover how to develop effective management styles, grow business savvy, navigate newsroom and digital culture, master negotiation tactics, build collaborative teams and coach critical thinking.
As in past years, the program will be structured to encourage open, candid discussion and mentoring, and participants will walk away with not only strong leadership skills, but a built-in support system of peers. All women will benefit from one-on-one coaching, analyze feedback from colleagues, and create a personal leadership strategy.
Poynter’s Leadership Academy for Women in Digital Media was borne out of a two-year partnership with ONA. If you have questions about the two programs, please see our FAQ.
