Kai Ryssdal, the host and senior editor of Marketplace, will share his insights and answer your questions about the economic mood in the U.S.  Join us for this special event at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 12.

Ryssdal speaks regularly with CEOs of Fortune 500 companies, startup entrepreneurs, small-business owners and everyday participants in the American and global economies. He also interviewed President Barack Obama four times. Since joining the flagship broadcast in 2005, he has hosted from China, the Middle East, Europe and dozens of cities across the United States. Ryssdal came to Marketplace in 2001 as the host of Marketplace Morning Report, where he covered the economic aftermath of the September 11th attacks, the collapse of Enron and the slow buildup to the housing crash, the financial crisis and the Great Recession.

This program is one of the planned community conversations as part of the institute’s annual speaker series.

Join us for the conversation for $25. All tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
