AP net income decreased 65 percent to $8.8 million in 2009 from $25.1 million a year earlier. Revenue totaled $676.1 million, a drop from $747.7 million in 2008. It was the first annual decline in revenue since a 6 percent drop in 1993. The AP ended 2009 with $53.2 million in cash, up from $34.5 million in 2008. It also shaved its debt by about $1 million to $4.2 million at the end of 2009.
