THE WOMAN who has accused Bishop Teodoro Bacani of inappropriate sexual behavior is now feeling sorry for him, activist priest Father Robert Reyes told the Inquirer Tuesday night.
“She’s sorry that she can’t control what has been coming out in the media about Bishop Bacani,” added Reyes, who was among the first persons who learned about the sexual harassment case raised against the bishop by his 34-year-old former secretary.
“But she has entrusted the case to the church,” Reyes said.
He told the Inquirer that the complainant was undergoing psycho-spiritual counseling with a psychotherapist who specialized in problems dealing with the religious.
“She’s in good hands and is handling everything well,” Reyes said. “She’s settling down, clarifying the issues in her own mind to make her own decisions.”
Reyes refused to divulge the whereabouts of the complainant but said she was not in hiding and was free to move around.
