Cynthia Reynaud graduated from the University of Idaho in May 2007 with a bachelor's degree in journalism and minor in political science. Reynaud served as the news editor of the university's student newspaper, The Argonaut. Before that, she worked as both a reporter and assistant copy editor for the twice-weekly newspaper. Reynaud has completed two summer newspaper internships in general assignment reporting. The first was in 2005 as a Chips Quinn Scholar at the St. Cloud (Minn.) Times and the second was at The Lewiston (Idaho) Tribune in 2006. In 2006, Reynaud studied for a semester in Rome, Italy. After attending Poynter's Summer 2007 post-graduate program, she moved to Des Moines, IA where she works as a community reporter at the Des Moines Register. In the future, Reynaud hopes to integrate her love for journalism and exploring other countries and work as a foreign correspondent or features/travel reporter for a newspaper or news magazine.
