Samantha Cole

Samantha Cole is reporting from the farthest reaches of the internet. She is a co-founder of 404 Media, an independent digital media company exploring the ways technology is shaping our world. She was previously a senior editor for Motherboard, Vice’s science and technology outlet, and has worked as a journalist for over a decade at outlets including Popular Science, Fast Company, and Al Jazeera. In 2020, she was nominated for a Writer’s Guild Award for best digital news coverage. In 2022, she published How Sex Changed the Internet and the Internet Changed Sex: An Unexpected History.
