Fox News talker Sean Hannity canceled his Friday Washington University appearance — he was to counter Michael Moore‘s speech — after rejecting several private jets offered by a donor. He also refused a first-class ticket for a commercial flight to St. Louis, according to a student who worked to save the appearance. “[Hannity’s agent] said he thought we should say that because of the short time frame involved, it didn’t work out,” says law student Ruth Hollander. “I said I didn’t think that was the truth, and I really felt we had met all of our commitments and we were going to be honest when asked.”

“Thanks to two conservative law students,
the right-wing pundit has agreed to oppose ‘limousine liberal’ Moore’s speech with an appearance at 10 a.m. on Oct. 8. In fact, Hannity is so eager to tussle with Moore that he waived his usual $100,000 speaking fee to come to campus.” (Student Life)
