One of the secrets of the success of Google is that the company does
not wait until the product is completely finished to launch it, and
counts on users’ comments and suggestions to improve it. The best way
to test a product is by a “laboratory of millions of people,” as Rabin Yaghoubi from Google said yesterday in Barcelona when he presented Google Print to an editorial-industry audience. (Here’s news and a program of the conference, in Spanish.)

Google, as one of the dominant companies of the Internet, is
influencing many others. I was wondering when listening to him whether
this always-unfinished or always-under-development concept is already
being applied to journalism. Is this what wiki news and participatory
journalism is? A journalism service being tested and/or improved by
users, a never-finished version of the news?
